There are quite a few professional wrestlers who continue to wrestle well past their 60s, but the number of those who wrestle after 70 is far less. Now it appears that ex-WWE Superstar Chick Donovan recently made his in-ring return at the age of 76.

Chick Donovan is a proper veteran in the world of professional wrestling. He wrestled for several top promotions during his heyday, including WWE and has competed in WCW, AWA, and NWA as well.

Chick Donovan’s grandson and Create A Pro Champion Bryce Donovan took to Twitter and uploaded a photo of himself along with his grandfather at the recent Create A Pro event on May 13. In the photo, Chick Donovan looked incredibly jacked despite being 76 years old and he even competed at the same event as his grandson.

So proud of my Grandfather still getting it done at age 76

When I was a small child listening to his stories about wrestling Jerry Lawler in AWA, he would look at me and say “I know one day you’ll grow up to become Create A Pro Champion.”

He was right!

The legend Chic Donovan!

One of Donovan’s earliest matches in the WWF was against the legendary Ricky Steamboat in 1987. Unfortunately for Donovan, he suffered a defeat in this singles match against Steamboat.

Years later, in 1995, Donovan returned to the WWF to face off against The British Bulldog Davey-Boy Smith. Despite his best efforts, Donovan was once again unable to secure a victory, and he left the ring with a loss to his name. Donovan’s final appearance in the WWF was in a tag team match against Billy and Bart Gunn. Regardless, it is certainly inspirational to see Chick Donovan still competing at his age.
