Conor McGregor’s success in the Octagon is known by many people, as he is the only man to hold championships in the lightweight and featherweight divisions simultaneously. McGregor has flirted with the idea of competing in WWE to face Roman Reigns on numerous occasions. That said, it appears that Eric Bischoff believes that the audience will gag over Roman Reigns vs Conor McGregor in WWE, should it happen.

Roman Reigns has been at the very top of the WWE food chain for almost three years now. He has been infallible as the Undisputed Universal WWE Champion, but that doesn’t mean he still doesn’t have any viable opponents.

Conor McGregor is no stranger when it comes to online feuds with WWE Superstars. After all, he had a heated back and forth with Roman Reigns’ Special Counsel Paul Heyman earlier this year. Heyman even sent warning to Conor McGregor after that.

Conor McGregor even called out Roman Reigns for match at WWE SummerSlam this year. While speaking on his 83 Weeks podcast, WWE Hall Of Famer Eric Bischoff talked about Roman Reigns vs Conor McGregor potentially happening. Bischoff stated that he believes the audience will gag over the match.

”I can’t see that, I just can’t. I can certainly see Conor McGregor in WWE. That’s very easy to visualize. Do you really think WWE would, for lack of a better term, prostitute Roman Reigns and a championship for an attraction match?

Unless Conor were to really learn how to wrestle so that he could go in there and have a — not just an acceptable match, but a great match with Roman. I think the audience will just gag all over it.”

We will have to wait and see whether Conor McGregor and Roman Reigns will end up taking place at WWE SummerSlam this year. With WWE and UFC’s merger deal finalized, perhaps fans might get to see the match take place.

What’s your take on what Eric Bischoff said? Do you want to see McGregor vs Roman Reigns? Sound off in the comments!
