Tony Khan owns a lot of content, but AEW was predated by Being the Elite for years. That long-running YouTube series will not be affected by All Elite Wrestling’s new deal with Warner Bros Discovery.

AEW had to axe AEW Dark and AEW Dark Elevation on YouTube, because Warner Bros Discovery now has exclusive rights to AEW programming. That being said, the company didn’t want everything Tony Khan had to offer.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that Tony Khan’s deal with Warner Bros Discovery consists of all AEW programming. There are two exceptions for programs under his umbrella (so to speak) that are not part of the deal.

What is known is that the deal will encompass all television and streaming programming that has the AEW banner, but not ROH, which is considered a separate company. That would be five hours of wrestling programming per week, the two hours on Wednesday on TBS, one hour on Friday on TNT and the two hours on Saturday on TNT, as well as any and all spinoff programming other than Being the Elite, which is expected to be kept as something separate since it’s a property owned by the Young Bucks.

This news is not a big surprise, because ROH has their own setup. ROH TV can be seen on their streaming service. Also, Being the Elite is a YouTube show that has very rarely had anything to do with AEW cannon. In fact, that show will sometimes give fans a look at what’s going on behind the curtain and drop kayfabe all together.

We will have to see what kind of deal AEW arranged with Warner Bros Discovery. At this time, details are a bit unclear. Hopefully, May 18th’s Warner Bros Discovery upfronts will clear a lot of those questions up.
