Chyna was a force to be reckoned with during her time in WWE in the late ’90s. She found great success in the company, breaking down several barriers for female wrestlers. Despite being such a big star, she was not without her fair share of controversies. It appears that Jim Ross wasn’t a fan of Chyna wrestling men in WWE.

The WWE Hall Of Famer broke boundaries in many ways for women’s wrestling in general, especially during a time when women wrestlers squaring off against men was simply unheard of.

Chyna worked with numerous men during her time in pro wrestling as part of D-Generation X – including the likes of Chris Jericho, Eddie Guerrero and more. She even held the Intercontinental Championship on two separate occasions.

While speaking on Grilling JR, WWE Hall Of Famer Jim Ross talked about Chyna competing against male wrestlers. Jim Ross made it clear that Chyna wrestling with men just didn’t feel right.

“I’m not a fan of intergender wrestling. I understand if you’re booked and looking for a payday; I understand why people would do it. However, I don’t know for the overall health of the wrestling business, if women wrestling men is the thing to do. Even though Chyna had a great physique, it was just a little unrealistic for me. It didn’t feel right to me.”

Chyna will forever be remembered as a trailblazer for women’s wrestling in WWE and her contributions will never be forgotten, long after her untimely passing. She was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as part of DX a few years ago, but fans hope she will get her own separate induction in the future. We’ll have to see if that will ever happen or not.
