Carlito’s Status For WWE RAW After Impressive Backlash Cameo

Carlito surprised a lot of fans with his Backlash cameo. Many didn’t expect to see him, but that wasn’t the case, as the Puerto Rican fans gave him a tremendous reception. That begs a question of when fans will see him again.

WWE higher-ups were impressed by Carlito’s Backlash cameo. There was also hope that fans will see him more often, but that’s not happening this week.

PW Insider reports that Carlito is not currently booked for RAW or SmackDown this week. His appearance at Backlash was just a one-off deal.

Carlito has not signed with WWE and, as of this morning, is not scheduled for either Raw or Smackdown this week. His appearance was planned as a single night cameo to pop the crowd in Puerto Rico, which it obviously did.

The reported also noted that, “The huge reaction Carlito received did not go unnoticed backstage.” So, WWE is very much aware that fans want to see Carlito’s return to the company.

Carlito ran to the ring in an LWO t-shirt, but he soon tore it off to reveal the fact that his workout routine is still on point. Hopefully, WWE fans will see Carlito back in the company sooner than later, because the LWO could be a perfect way to bring the former IC Champion back into the fold.

The official WWE video of Carlito’s surprise appearance brought in 3.9 million views on social media as of Sunday. The clip was also performing well on YouTube, with over 1.1 million views.
