WWE is coming off great event at Backlash, where San Juan, Puerto Rico received WWE with a tremendous reception. The crowd was hot all night, and it’s hard to imagine a place that could top it. That being said, there are other places on the globe that they could bring a big event.

WWE Backlash 2023 marked the company’s first return to Puerto Rico for a major event since New Year’s Revolution in January 2005. The live audience in San Juan stole the spotlight several times, reacting a fever pitch during every match.

The positivity surrounding WWE’s return to Puerto Rico sparked questions about future international premium live events. The WWE on BT Sport Twitter account listed Backlash alongside other recent events held outside of America, such as February’s Elimination Chamber in Toronto, Canada and last September’s Clash at the Castle in Cardiff, Wales.

LWO member Santos Escobar responded to the post, suggesting that WWE should hold a future international live event in his native Mexico. He didn’t say much, but he did post “MEXICO” along with a flag of his home country.

Bad Bunny represented the LWO and stole the show by defeating Damian Priest in a wild San Juan Street Fight match. The match received high praise backstage, with video capturing Triple H’s reaction to Bad Bunny’s performance as they hugged it out.

We’ll have to see where WWE takes their show in the future. They have toured Mexico far more often than taken a trip to Puerto Rico, but the country might be due for a huge WWE premium live event.
