Nigel McGuinness’s WWE release came as a shock to the industry because many believed he would stick around for NXT Europe. Tonight, Nigel gave another huge shock to the pro wrestling world as he returned to Ring of Honor.

Nigel McGuiness made headlines when he was released by the WWE in October 2022. His last assignment prior to his release was to call matches for NXT: Level Up. Nigel was also a major part of NXT UK as he had given a unique voice to the brand thanks to his broadcasting alliance with Andy Shepherd.

Ring of Honor is currently presenting their Supercard of Honor event from The Galen Center in Los Angeles. Nigel McGuinness made his shocking appearance at the pay-per-view event. It was revealed that McGuiness will be doing commentary for the show tonight.

The former ROH World Champion previously stated that he won’t rule out his in-ring comeback, but is letting cooler heads prevail at the moment. He also stated that he wasn’t shocked by his WWE release.

It remains to be seen if Nigel has signed a deal with Ring of Honor or is just here for the commentary. ROH Supercard of Honor is currently streaming their Zero Hour pre-show on YouTube.
