Cody Rhodes’ second run in WWE has been nothing short of extraordinary. His presentation and matches proved that he is a top star in the company. Despite suffering a torn pectoral injury just two months after his return, Rhodes was still one of the most over superstars in the company when he returned at the Royal Rumble.

Ever since then, fans and media outlets have been buzzing about Cody Rhodes and his match at WrestleMania 39 against Roman Reigns. In fact, Rhodes is also considered the favorite to win at WrestleMania 39. He also has never-ending documentary shooting for Peacock.

Although Roman Reigns was considered the face of the company for the past three years, it seems as if the tide is finally shifting in Cody Rhodes’ favor. Cody Rhodes sees himself in that role already.

During a recent interview with Sports Illustrated, Cody Rhodes mentioned that he has felt like the face of the company for the last four months.

“This answer might come across [as] extremely d**kish. It’s the only way I can put it out there a little more prickly. I don’t think there’s any more pressure about potentially being the face of the company because, respectfully, I feel like for the last four months, I’ve already been the face of the company. Roman is on, you know, not a part-time schedule, he’s still a full-time superstar and still the champ, respectfully, but I make every town every city.”

Cody Rhodes further added that he has felt like the face of the company after defeating Seth Rollins at Hell in a Cell last year. Of course, that match is still stuck in fans’ brains for a reason.

“I’ve already felt like the face of the company since perhaps even Hell in a Cell, even while I was injured. And maybe that’s just currently WWE seeing this new shiny toy that’s come back, and they put The American Nightmare everywhere. But I’d say it’s working because we’ve had some unbelievable nights in terms of the WWE audience,” Rhodes added.

Cody Rhodes will finally get the opportunity to finish his story at WrestleMania 39 when he faces off against Roman Reigns. Stay tuned to Ringside News for live coverage of WrestleMania.
