WWE announced a major overhaul of their product in 2022 and that led to the closure of the NXT UK brand and the release of several superstars. The company revealed that NXT UK will be replaced with NXT Europe. While the discussion around NXT Europe is still being kept a closely guarded secret, the same cannot be said about a former NXT UK star’s in-ring future.

Eddie Dennis joined NXT UK in 2018 after a lengthy stint on the independent scene. The veteran was also part of the Dog Collar match that WWE revived for his feud with Wild Boar in 2022. His last match for the brand saw him team up with Saxon Huxley in a loss to Chase U (Andre Chase & Bodhi Hayward). Eddie was released from his contract on August 18, 2022.

Most recently, Eddie Dennis competed in the RevPro Revolution Rumble. The event emanated from the York Hall in London on Sunday. After the match, Eddie took off his boats and placed them in the ring. The photo went viral on the internet. Eddie later took to Twitter to confirm that he has retired from the world of pro wrestling.

My farewell to the magical world with the purple canvas.
