One of the most interesting storylines last year was Bray Wyatt’s return. It drew a lot of attention and had people talking about it. It was well-written and helped get Wyatt over with the crowd. However, once he returned, the storyline seemed to drag on, and it took Wyatt months to have his first televised match.

The interest in Bray Wyatt took a backseat due to this, and The Bloodline storyline started gaining traction. Wyatt was even supposed to be involved in his first proper feud at WrestleMania against Bobby Lashley. However, that seems to have fizzled out and Wyatt has been missing from television owing to a ‘physical issue.’

While speaking on the latest episode of Smack Talk, WWE veteran Dutch Mantell claimed that the injury story was just a cover-up to hide the real reason Wyatt is away from WWE.

According to Dutch Mantell, Bray Wyatt has been taken off television to buy him some time before they overhaul his on-screen presentation again.

“He [Bray Wyatt] is allegedly injured, correct? What’s the matter with him? I think his feelings are hurt. Well, that’s a really good way to cover it! But I think, and I’ve said this before, I think they kind of gave Bray creative license over his character and his way of treading into the show, but it didn’t work. It didn’t work, and I think they are going to have to take him back to the shop and overhaul him and try another way because, this Fun House cr*p, I never liked it anyway. But I think he has not only failed but failed big time,” said Dutch Mantell.

It’s disappointing to see Wyatt go through so many character changes in the past few years. It will be interesting to see what happens to Uncle Howdy during the overhaul. Stay tuned to Ringside News as we bring you similar stories.
