Big E suffered broken neck in March 2023 after he failed to get a full rotation off a release German suplex from Ridge Holland. That botch cost Big E a year’s worth of time in the ring already, but WWE might have plans for his comeback.

Ridge Holland noted that he has received death threats since Big E’s injury, especially on the one-year anniversary of that terrible incident. Xavier Woods has also spoken out to defend Holland.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that WWE was making plans for the New Day at WrestleMania. The three of them could still appear at the show of shows, but only time will tell if that plan will be hindered thanks to Kofi Kingston’s recent injury.

“I don’t think if anything will come of this or if Kingston’s injury changes this, but we had heard of an idea for E to be at WrestleMania and the three of them would come out together if that would be the right thing to do and if E could come back soon.”

Big E is doing a lot better, but he hasn’t made a return to the ring yet. He’s traveling lot more and getting out of the house as much as possible. He is also very involved in WWE’s NIL program, as he has worked at tryouts as well. Hopefully, his return to the squared circle isn’t too far away.

We will have to see if WWE follows through with plans for the New Day at WrestleMania. Right now, 2/3 of the shoo-in WWE Hall of Famer stable is out of action with an injury. That might limit what they are able to do.
