WWE is preparing for a sale, and the next few months could be very interesting. That being said, cost-cutting is nothing new in WWE.

Ringside News exclusively reported that we were told by a tenured source on the creative team that, “it’s been pretty crazy here the past few weeks, especially with everyone in confusion about how few staff is being brought to LA for Mania.”

We were additionally told that, “a lot of people won’t be making the trip. More ‘not’ than ‘are.’” It was made clear that there are a lot more people who are not going to SoFi Stadium for WrestleMania 39.

Another report is going around saying that WWE nixed travel for their international announce team. This is actually not a new cut.

Sean Sapp noted behind Fightful’s paywall that WWE actually nixed travel for international announce teams “years” ago. This is not a new thing, because the cut was expected, but others who usually travel to the show of shows are not making the trip.

It was reported that WWE wasn’t sending out international announce teams to WrestleMania in order to cut costs so they could do it remotely. However, we’ve been told that has been a common practice for years now.

WWE is cutting costs across the board, as they prepare the company for a sale. The initial word is that they are thinking that WWE will be in the hands of a new owner by the middle of 2023.

We will have to see what WWE does next as they prepare themselves for a sale. If Saudi Arabia is one of the first-round bidders for the company, and their offer is accepted, then the company could be in for a tremendous change.

What’s your take on these big changes for WWE? Sound off in the comments!
