Ricky Starks is currently one of the highlights of AEW television, and there is a good reason for that. Starks has worked hard to establish himself as a solid talent, and fans continue to support him all the time. That being said, it seems some believe that Starks wants to leave AEW.

At the AEW Revolution pay-per-view, Ricky Starks squared off against Chris Jericho in a solid match. When all was said and done, it was the former FTW Champion who stood tall.

Following his victory over Chris Jericho at Revolution, Ricky Starks delivered a promo on Dynamite where he expressed uncertainty about his next steps, sparking rumors of his possible departure from All Elite Wrestling. It’s worth noting that he was seen backstage with WWE Superstar Cody Rhodes during the Royal Rumble event.

While speaking on the Jim Cornette Experience podcast, Jim Cornette talked about Ricky Starks’ promo on AEW Dynamite. Cornette was confused about why Tony Khan would have a babyface cut a promo about him hinting at a departure.

The pro wrestling veteran then stated that he believes Ricky Starks is actually unhappy working in All Elite Wrestling and actually wants to leave the promotion.

“Why would you have a babyface come out after he’s beat Chris Jericho now twice, and they still kind of worked it to where I don’t know if he’s better off for it, but you know, what’s next? I’m not sure. And then say, ‘It’s not where I’m gonna go or what I’m gonna do, but where I’m gonna go,’ which everybody thinks that means he’s going to leave AEW. That would be the only reason you would drop that hint or that say that line.

I know somebody’s gonna say, ‘Well, wait till the story plays out.’ No, you get the impression from this guy that he’s not happy where he is. He wants to get the f**k out.”

Ricky Starks was attacked by Juice Robinson on last week’s episode of AEW Dynamite. We will have to wait and see what AEW will have planned for him and whether he will ever leave the company.
