WWE just got around to revealing the first inductee into the 2023 WWE Hall of Fame during SmackDown this week. Rey Mysterio’s name was called, and it will be a big honor, still, there are more names that are yet to be revealed.

Mick Foley said that he was contacted about inducting someone into the 2023 WWE Hall of Fame, someone he hadn’t heard from in a long time. The Great Muta was also reported by PW Insider, but that name hasn’t been confirmed by WWE yet.

Hulk Hogan has pitched for two more names for this 2023 class, The Fabulous Rougeaus. He was quite enthusiastic about this idea as well.

“You know, Maniacs, I was watching the WWE the other night, and I was really curious who the first inductee into the 2023 Hall of Fame was. Oh my gosh, it was Rey Mysterio. No one is more deserving than a champion, a great man, a great father, and a great husband. He deserves to be in the Hall of Fame. For years and years, he’s carried the torch, but then I thought, who could be next? Who could be just as deserving and then my first thought was one of the great tag teams of all time, The Rougeaus Brothers. Jacques Rougheaus and his brother Raymond Rougeau, those two guys, need to be in the Hall of Fame. I’m voting for them. Hopefully, they will be the next inductees into the Hall of Fame. I think it just might happen. I got a really good feeling about that one brother.”

The Rougeaus team, consisting of Jacques and Raymond Rougeau, had a run as a team from 1986 to 1990. In 1991, Jacques started his own run as The Mountie.

We will have to see who WWE calls for the 2023 Hall of Fame. This year’s ceremony didn’t have to sell tickets on its own, because they will tape it after the go-home episode of SmackDown before WrestleMania 39.

Who do you want to see inducted into the 2023 WWE Hall of Fame? Will Rey Mysterio be the biggest name this year? Sound off in the comments!
