Baron Corbin Trying To Find New Gear Amidst Gimmick Confusion

Baron Corbin has been an integral part of WWE for decade, seizing every opportunity that came his way. Over the years, he has undergone numerous transformations and mastered the art of portraying a villain, ultimately flourishing as a successful heel. That being said, it seems Corbin is trying to find new ring gear, while he remains confused about his direction in WWE.

After his initial success as a despised villain, Baron Corbin’s persona was rebranded as Happy Corbin, which only fueled the flames of fan hatred. He later disappeared from WWE programming, only to resurface as Baron Corbin alongside JBL.

Before that, Baron Corbin’s character was known as “Bum Ass Corbin,” who seemed to have the worst luck imaginable. Interestingly, his struggles garnered sympathy from the WWE Universe. That nickname was one given to him by Pat McAfee.

However, JBL recently abandoned Baron Corbin on RAW, and the WWE Hall of Famer is not expected to make an appearance on WWE television anytime soon. In fact, Triple H appears to have abandoned the Corbin storyline altogether.

While speaking on the Johnny Dare Morning Show, Baron Corbin talked about his possible change in gimmick. Corbin revealed that he is currently in the process of getting new ring gear.

“Right now, we’re just trying to find a new gear and get running with it. We’ll see what happens.”

Many fans felt Baron Corbin’s best character was his ‘bum’ gimmick from 2021. In fact, even Corbin thought WWE was going to turn him babyface with that gimmick. We’ll have to wait and see if he reverts back to the ‘bum’ gimmick in the end.
