Sasha Banks is widely recognized as one of the most talented female professional wrestlers in the industry today. Her sudden departure from WWE RAW in May 2022 sparked intense discussion and speculation among wrestling fans, who were eager to learn the reasons behind her exit. However, Banks later resurfaced in NJPW under the ring name Mercedes Mone, further cementing her reputation as significant figure in the world of professional wrestling. In fact, an AEW star really hopes to see Mone in AEW as well, at least in some capacity.

Mercedes Moné is currently the IWGP Women’s Champion, having won the title at NJPW Battle in the Valley in February. This was Moné’s first officially sanctioned match since May 2022, and she succeeded in capturing the championship in impressive fashion.

During the lead-up to a tag team match on AEW Dynamite in January, which was billed as Britt Baker and AEW Women’s World Champion Jamie Hayter taking on Saraya and a mystery partner, Britt Baker referred to herself as “The Boss.” This was the same nickname previously used by Mercedes Moné during her time in WWE.

While speaking to the New York Post, Baker said she hopes and prays to see Moné in AEW in some capacity, adding that she would not mind being the reason for Mone to come to AEW.

It’s weird to see now that she’s out in the wild. She’s not completely inaccessible in a way. These are very realistic matchups that could happen and I think the world is ready to see Mercedes Moné let out of the cage. What is she gonna do now? I hope and pray that someday, we see her in some capacity in AEW. And if by chance I could be in the connection too, I would be very, very for that.

Mercedes Mone’s future in professional wrestling remains uncertain, as she has indicated that she is not interested in long-term deal with AEW. However, Mone has hinted at the possibility of working with Kenny Omega in the future, which could lead to some exciting opportunities for her in the industry.

While she is not ruling out a potential return to WWE, Mone’s focus remains on exploring new opportunities and growing as a performer. As always, Ringside News will continue to provide the latest updates on Mercedes Mone’s career and future plans, so be sure to check back regularly for more news and analysis.
