The 2023 Men’s Royal Rumble match included no talent from NXT. That being said, the Women’s match did include a few names from the company’s developmental brand. It turns out that they almost had another one.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that Ivy Nile was a “late cut” in the 2023 Women’s Royal Rumble match. It was not noted who took her spot in the contest.

The company brought in a few extra women for the Rumble as alternates. One name known for being a late cut was Ivy Nile.

It was previously noted that, along with Ivy Nile, Maxxine Dupri was also a late cut from the Royal Rumble match. Both of them were noted as alternates for the big over-the-top-rope contest.

We will have to see what’s next for Ivy Nile. She has a ton of potential, and her skills in the squared circle are improving all the time. Ivy Nile might need a bit of work on the microphone, but you never know if a new gimmick could provide her with a fresh coat of paint to really help her shine.
