The Rock has been one of WWE’s best entertainers. After leaving the company, he made a name for himself in Hollywood. However, his return to the ring is highly anticipated at WrestleMania 39. Now, Eric Bischoff has suggested some interesting plans for his return at the event.
Eric Bischoff appeared on the Strictly Business podcast to discuss some plans for the Rock’s return. Roman Reigns is all set to face Cody Rhodes in WrestleMania 39. Bischoff proposes that the Rock should be incorporated in between the bout to make the most out of his return.
The WWE Hall of Famer later went on to describe how the Rock can pull the strings on the match-up. He says that one wink and smile from the Rock will instill fear in Reigns, which will then go on to dictate the contest. According to Easy E, after that, Cody’s job to defeat Reigns will be much easier.
“[He] never has to lift a finger, never has to get out of his chair, and now we’re reversing one of Roman’s greatest attributes: his ability to get inside your head. All it will take is a look from Rock and a wink to Cody and a smile on Cody’s face — at that point, 50% of Roman’s power has been decimated by the mere presence of The Rock.”
Besides Eric Bischoff, Ric Flair has also vouched for the return of The Rock in WWE. The 16 times world champion expects The Great One to win if he appears in the ring at the highly coveted event. He also mentioned that he’ll not be doing it for the money, but for pride.
The Rock’s cousin, Roman Reigns, now holds the title of WWE Undisputed Universal Champion. Therefore, many anticipate that the two megastars will square off in a singles match. The Tribal Chief will likely face The Great One in a title fight to maintain his position.
The Rock’s last major WrestleMania bout took place nearly ten years ago. It was against John Cena as he lost with the WWE Championship on the line. Only time will tell whether he will return to triumph on the big stage again.
