Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is widely considered to be one of the biggest legends in professional wrestling history, his impact on the industry is undeniable. He is known for his incredible charisma and larger-than-life personality, which has made him a global superstar. There were speculations that he may make his return to WWE for a program at WrestleMania 39. However, that might not happen anymore and it seems WWE knew about this months in advance.

Wrestling fans have been eagerly anticipating a match between Roman Reigns and The Rock at WrestleMania for a long time. The WWE has been hinting at the possibility of this match for a while, and it has only increased the excitement among fans who are looking forward to seeing these two superstars face off in the ring.

The matchup between these two wrestlers with great athletic abilities, and a strong fan base, is expected to be a major draw for the event. Fans still talk about the match even now.

Last year, Roman Reigns even called out The Rock during WWE live event. In fact, The Rock’s WWE return was said to be 100% in the plans. However, the likelihood of it happening now seems unlikely.

While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer talked about The Rock’s WrestleMania 39 status. He revealed that WWE knew months in advance The Rock wouldn’t be ready for WrestleMania 39.

“Anything is possible, and it’s certainly possible he could be keeping everything a secret from all by one or two people, but the word is that he doesn’t have the time to get in the shape….All along, if he has the time to do it, he will do it. Put it this way, most are of the opinion that it’s not happening, and it’s been for months. Those on the inside thought the odds were not good based on that thing because (his schedule)….There’s no such thing as 100% because it’s a very secretive business. Within the company, it’s not looking good.”

As Ringside News exclusively reported, WWE Creative had been pitching alternative ideas for Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 39. WWE also has not discussed The Rock for non-wrestling role at the event. Regardless, The Rock’s status for the Show of Shows seems dubious right now, and fans will have to accept that.
