Sean Sapp reported behind Fightful’s paywall that WWE touted some big numbers during SmackDown this week. In fact, this week’s SmackDown was the largest grossing blue brand event in the city’s history.

According to internal live events reports, Smackdown in Detroit was WWE’s highest grossing Smackdown in the city ever.

WWE is garnering a lot of attention right now, especially with the road to WrestleMania kicking off at the Royal Rumble on January 28th. We will have to see what kind of records they might be able to break in the future.
