Taz Is Fed Up With Fans Saying How AEW Should Operate

Taz dedicated his life to pro wrestling. Starting out as an amateur wrestler, working his way up to winning world titles to transitioning to a color commentary role, Taz has seen the ins and outs of the company. When fans give their inexperienced opinions on how to run the pro wrestling business, you know it is not going to go down pretty.

Taz took to Twitter to lambast wrestling fans who go on about what bookers should or should not do but have never even seen a ring in real life. He admitted that even with years of experience under his belt, he is still trying to make sense of stuff that goes down behind the scenes.

“Everyone is entitled to opinions & many folks r passionate fans, thats great! But, the bulk never been NEAR a ring (never the less in 1), I’ve been in this game bulk of my adult life & at times I’m still trying to figure it out! But expert fan or podcaster HAS it down? Stop.”

A fan took issue with Taz’s rant. This fan believed that not being in pro wrestling business doesn’t disqualify you from having an opinion on pro wrestling.

“I always this this is such a dumb form of gatekeeping. Oh you don’t do UFC then you can’t have an opinion!! Never played in the NFL don’t ever comment!! Usually it means the random person was right and the expert doesn’t have anything to refute it”

Taz clapped back at the fan, saying the fan had completely misinterpreted his statement. He went on to clarify that having an opinion is fine, but having a chip on your shoulder and telling people who have been in the business for years how to operate is downright ridiculous.

“What I said went RIGHT OVER YOUR HEAD. I AM an expert, earned for decades of lots of sacrifice & struggles.Been in rooms with the best of the best in ring & bookers discussing this biz for years.Having an opinion is GOOD, telling people that LIVE this how to do it, is ridiculous.”
