Jeff hardy is one of the greatest high-flyers in the history of professional wrestling. The charismatic Hardy is known for his risk-taking performances, high-flying maneuvers, and long tenure in the business. However, Jeff’s big debut in Ring of Honor did not get the reaction he was expecting and Hardy had an interesting choice of words to coin his ROH debut night in 2003.

Jeff Hardy started his career back in the 1990s and rose to prominence as one-half of the legendary ‘Hardy Boyz tag team alongside his brother, Matt. Brother Nero himself went on to achieve singles success, becoming a 3-time World champion in WWE, along with winning numerous championships and carving out a Hall of Fame-worthy career with his daredevil moves and amazing performances.

The Charismatic Enigma is also known to wrestle for various top promotions. In 2003, Jeff Hardy made his debut at Ring of Honor’s Death Before Dishonor show, following his WWE exit. He introduced the world to his ‘Willow’ persona, wrestling in a triple threat match against Joey Matthews and Krazy K. However, Hardy was disappointed with the match as it did not receive the reaction he was hoping for, calling it ‘Ring of Horror’ for the longest time. This was revealed by Matt Hardy on the latest episode of “Extreme Life of Matt Hardy” podcast.

“That was a very famous night where he first like debuted Willow there on ROH, came out in that and that match was actually put together by Thomas Simpson, who you just saw there, if I’m not mistaken. It was Jeff, he was doing something with Kirby Mack, who was a student of Thomas Simpson back in the day. And somehow he enabled a deal to get Jeff to come to the ROH show. But I remember Jeff never wanted to go back to ROH. After that, I remember for the longest time he called it Ring of Horror, and he was so upset about the reaction he got there.”
