Eric Young had a solid stint in Triple H’s version of NXT, where he was the leader of SAnitY. Young even captured the NXT Tag Team Championship with Alexander Wolfe during the group’s dominant run on the black and gold brand, but failed to replicate the success on the main roster. Young was released from WWE on April 15, 2020.

As previously reported, Eric Young is set for a WWE comeback. The former Impact World Champion will rejoin the Stamford-based promotion under the Triple H regime, thought it remains to be when he will show up in WWE. Young’s character was “stabbed to death” last night on Impact Wrestling.

The vignette aired during the December 1, 2022 edition of Impact on AXS TV. In storyline, Eric Young was killed by fellow Violent by Design member Cody Deaner, who took over as the new leader of the notorious stable. Deaner took to Twitter following the infamous angle to share his thoughts on the culmination of his storied alliance with his mentor.

Triple H’s takeover of WWE set things in motion for Eric Young’s return to WWE. We’ll have to wait to see what does The Game have in store for the former leader of SAnitY.
