Baron Corbin has had different runs in the WWE. He was once a constable of the Monday Night show and is now called the ‘Modern Day Wrestling God,’ as JBL accompanies him.

This week on Raw, Austin Theory tried to cash in his Money In The Bank briefcase on the United States Champion Seth Rollins. His attempt was foiled by a stomp from the champion after a lot of help from Bobby Lashley.

Baron Corbin addressed Austin Theory’s situation on Twitter, by calling him out in a social media post on the micro-blogging website. The message was clear that he wanted to pick a bone with Austin Theory.

Hey @_Theory1 welcome to the club. We are a special group led by @JohnCena

Baron Corbin said Austin is now a member of a group of Superstars who were unsuccessful in their Money In The Bank briefcase cash-ins. According to Corbin, the group is led by John Cena himself.

Notably, Baron Corbin couldn’t cash in and win in 2017 as John Cena was at ringside, and Corbin was distracted by the presence. The then World Heavyweight Champion Jinder Mahal saw this as an opportunity to go for the pin and the win.

It’s an interesting way to build a story for Austin Theory, especially since there were rumors that WWE plans to bring Cena and Theory in a match at The Showcase of the Immortals. Ringside News has exclusively confirmed that Austin Theory is still a very good place creatively after this failed cash-in.
