Karrion Kross Confirms Talks With AEW Prior To WWE Return

Karrion Kross saw a lot of success in NXT, but all of that was useless in the end after he was called up to the main roster. His credibility was non-existent, and Kross was largely mocked. Now that he’s back, there is a different story to tell.

Karrion Kross returned to WWE and immediately attacked Drew McIntyre during the closing moments of SmackDown a few weeks ago. Kross and Scarlett are now highlights of Smackdown as well. He also began feuding with McIntyre right after that.

During a recent interview with the Mirror, Karrion Kross talked about his time in WWE. Kross revealed that he had talks with AEW prior to his WWE return.

“There was there was an idea that was proposed to me to come and do something there [at AEW]. But it was just so abundantly clear to me from dealing with fans face to face, that a WWE return was what people wanted to see.”

He was also relieved to have gotten his release last year. He also defeated Drew McIntyre at Extreme Rules in a controversial decision. We’ll have to see what is next in store for him.
