Eddie Kingston made his AEW debut in July 2020, while fighting for the TNT Championship against Cody Rhodes. While he did not win the match, Kingston wowed many people and eventually signed with the company. Kingston recently revealed that he can not fight when he wants.

Eddie Kingston discussed his recent on-air antics during an interview with the ESPR podcast. He stated that he discussed it with AEW’s human resources department. “I had an HR meeting a couple days ago, telling me I can’t be beating up people in the ring when I want to,” Kingston noted.

So I don’t know what I’m gonna do [laughs]. We’re all trying to be good, we’re all trying to be professional, as they say. These are their words, not mine.

As previously reported, Kingston was questioned about the backstage issues and conflicts at AEW. He stated that there is a simple reason why things break from time to time. “It’s real simple. You have a bunch of people back there with egos, some people believe other people don’t deserve to be in AEW,” he explained.
