Ronda Rousey has cemented her place as one of WWE’s top female superstars. She gained recognition in the UFC before signing with WWE, and her transition to pro wrestling was rather smooth. She recently expressed her desire to bring Asuka to WWE SmackDown.

On the latest episode of “The Baddest Stream On The Planet,” Rousey spoke about her interest in bringing Asuka to SmackDown. She stated that she would like to pitch this idea for the upcoming 2022 draft. Although she did mention that it wouldn’t be easy.

Me and Asuka would be great. Maybe that’s something I could pitch at like because they do the draft before Survivor Series, that I could pitch them drafting Asuka. But isn’t she part of like, the Bianca faction now? It’s Alexa [Bliss], and Asuka, and Bianca are like, a faction now. I don’t think that they would let me steal her.

Rousey also addressed who she would like to pair with at Survivor Series and whether the event would continue the previous years’ format of brand vs brand matchups.

Who would be on my team besides Shayna to make it even, three versus three? Would we turn Liv [Morgan] evil? Would Nattie turn? … I don’t know if they’re going to do a traditional Survivor Series this year with champion versus champion. I’m hearing it’s all up in the air and no one really knows what’s going on … I don’t know if [Charlotte Flair] would want to be part of a team, though. That would be very interesting.

While WWE hasn’t announced any plans for their superstar draft, it may be taking place sooner than expected. The addition of Asuka to Smackdown’s roster will undoubtedly open up interesting booking possibilities. We’ll have to wait and watch how things play out.
