Impact Wrestling’s roster saw some shifting in the past few months. That being said, one former X-Division champion is sticking around.

Chris Bey has been an integral part of the Impact Wrestling roster since joining the company in 2020. Since his short but impressive stint with the company, he has accomplished quite a lot. Chris Bey has won the X-Division Title, main evented special shows, joined The Bullet Club etc.

Chris Bey has also been a part of some crucial storylines for Impact Wrestling. Hence, why Impact Wrestling were keen on extending his contract. Speaking with Sports Illustrated, Chris Bey has revealed that he has re-signed to continue working for Impact Wrestling.

“It takes time to become a top guy. That’s what I’m pursuing now. I want programs with Josh Alexander, Eddie Edwards, ‘Speedball’ Mike Bailey. I want to work with IMPACT legends. I am pushing to be the absolute best. The IMPACT World Championship has always been the biggest goal for me. That is my No. 1. It’s something I have to accomplish, and I’m going to make sure it becomes a reality. Until I do, to quote Kobe, ‘The job’s not finished.’”

Scott D’Amore also commented on Chris Bey’s contract extension stating that he had many offers on the table, but he chose to stay with Impact Wrestling.

“Chris Bey was part of a generation who grew up dreaming of competing inside an IMPACT Wrestling ring,” D’Amore says. “Two years ago, when the wrestling world was buzzing about where this ‘can’t-miss prospect’ was going to commit, Chris chose to fulfill his childhood dream and make IMPACT Wrestling his home, even with multiple offers in front of him.

“Now, two years later, with an amazing X Division title reign already under his belt, Bey has cemented his claim as one of the stars to lead our sport into a bright future. We are honored and excited to announce that Chris has again chosen IMPACT Wrestling to remain his home for years to come.”

Chris Bey who is a regular on NJPW Strong highlighted that his contract will allow to work in NJPW, and he is eyeing a chance to wrestle at Wrestle Kingdom.

Hey there! I'm a passionate pro wrestling fan. Since I unintentionally changed the TV channel and watched a clip from Monday Night RAW in 2006, I have been enamored with the world of professional wrestling. I've been hooked ever since. I got into WWE content writing 5 years ago and I still get excited when I get to tell people that I get paid to watch pro wrestling.
