Karrion Kross saw a lot of success in NXT, but all of that was useless in the end after he was called up to the main roster. His credibility was non-existent, and Kross was largely mocked. Now that he’s back, there is a different story to tell.

Karrion Kross returned to WWE and immediately attacked Drew McIntyre during the closing moments of SmackDown a few weeks ago. Kross and Scarlett are now highlights of Smackdown as well. He also began feuding with McIntyre right after that.

Drew McIntyre is a legitimate success story, as he clawed and scratched his way to the top in WWE, after becoming a legitimately big deal in the independent circuit following his initial WWE release.

While speaking with The Ringer Wrestling Show, Karrion Kross talked about his feud with Drew McIntyre. Kross admitted that he is inspired by The Scottish Warrior.

“I’m going to say something that might surprise a lot of people, but Drew McIntyre is a prime example of somebody in life, not even just in wrestling, but in life. He’s been knocked down so many times personally and professionally throughout his entire life, and this guy still gets up every day. He might not be inspired.

He might not feel enthusiastic or motivated, like all of us. We’re all human beings, you know? It’s cool to promote motivation and inspiration, but people don’t wake up like that. But that guy on the days he wants to do it or the days he doesn’t, he gives 110% at every single thing that he does. A lot of people have counted him out professionally throughout his career and he’s always proved them wrong.”

He was also relieved to have gotten his release last year. He also defeated Drew McIntyre at Extreme Rules in a controversial decision. We’ll have to see what is next in store for him.
