Sammy Guevara remains one of the mainstays of AEW since its inception back in 2019. He used to be a beloved babyface, but that all changed as he is now back to being a despised heel.

Things have not been going well for AEW for the past couple of months. Andrade El Idolo was also involved in a backstage altercation with Sammy Guevara. He was actually sent home before AEW Dynamite this week. Sammy Guevara was still on the show.

While speaking on Jim Cornette’s Drive Thru, Cornette heavily criticized Sammy Guevara for his immature actions. He also blasted the AEW locker room for always hating on each other.

“You work with this guy, you’re going to see him every week at TV. It’s one of the boys in the locker room and you choose, instead of calling the guy up on the phone, if you’re that incensed about what he said on an interview which basically was that, ‘Sammy was the only guy that ever complained about him being too stiff (…) whatever’. That’s not the most inflammatory verbiage I’ve ever heard uttered towards somebody else.

So Sammy instead of calling the guy on phone or instead of going up to him on Wednesday night, he wants to make a production out of it, he wants to tell the whole world and in the process he wants to call more attention to the fact that everybody in that locker room hates each other and they all act like they’re f**king 12.”

Andrade El Idolo even made his way to AEW Dynamite to fight with Sammy Guevara. As it was previously reported, Andrade is trying to get fired from AEW. It remains to be seen whether he will remain a part of the AEW family or not.
