Triple H took over WWE’s booking on July 25th, 2022, and immediately made many noticeable changes to the product. The Game opened the season premiere of SmackDown on Fox tonight.

Triple H arrived in the Wells Fargo Center, Philadelphia, PA, to a roaring ovation to open the season premiere of WWE SmackDown on Fox. The Game pumped fans in attendance in a huge way.
“Welcome to Fox, and welcome to the season premiere of Friday Night SmackDown!”
Tonight’s edition of SmackDown features a stacked card, with a Gunther versus Sheamus rematch for the Intercontinental Championship booked as the main event.
