Rick Steiner is one-half of the legendary Steiner Brothers. Rick and Scott traveled around the world and squared off against some of the best tag teams in the business. Rick recently questioned why WWE didn’t give Bron Breakker the ‘Steiner’ name.

The Steiner name is legendary due to the tag team work and solo careers of Rick and his brother Scott. Rick Steiner recently appeared for an interview on WWE’s Table for 3. He questioned why Bron Breakker did not utilize the Steiner name when he joined WWE NXT.

I know [WWE] came up with Bron Breakker, why not like Bron Steiner? Why, like, who comes up with that?

Bron responded by saying that he kind of got the idea from playing football. He always attempted to “hurt or break” somebody in half when he was blocking. Bron believes that he should simply follow his own path and honor The Steiner Brothers.

I kind of came up with it from football and just playing football I tried to hurt people or break people in half when I was blocking. That’s kind of how I came up with the name and I don’t feel like we need to use the [Steiner] name for me to be successful. I mean, I think I should, just go my own, go my own route and pay tribute to [The Steiner Brothers.]

Bron Breakker continues to gain momentum after his debut in NXT 2.0 back in September last year. He has already established himself as a top talent in the developmental brand. However, that does not mean he will team up with his father inside the ring. We’ll have to see what’s next for Bron Breakker.
