AEW continues to grow as a pro wrestling company and has been successful in that regard over the last three years. The company also decided to dive deep into the video game industry as the company previously announced video game for consoles is in the works.

Kenny Omega has been working hard along with video game developer Yuke’s to ensure the upcoming AEW game for consoles will be in the best state possible when it releases. Yuke’s was also responsible for some of the greatest WWE games of all time, including No Mercy.

As previously reported, the AEW video game will be released sooner than expected. While speaking on Busted Open Radio, Kenny Omega gave an update on its status.

“We are now in a phase with this game where we can start taking it on the road and getting fans to have their hands put on it. They can play it, they can hold it, and the first time we made that available was at this Gamescom, which was in Germany, largest video game trade show in the planet. … I don’t feel satisfied with it. I still think there is more that needs to be done, and we’re going to keep continuing to use whatever resources in manpower to polish it up and make sure it’s a better, free-flowing project.”

The game will drop on PS5, Xbox Series, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC. It remains to be seen whether the game will become a hit with fans and critics alike. This is certain to be a big seller with pro wrestling fans as they rush to test out AEW’s version of a console game.
