Two AEW stars have expressed frustrations with their booking in AEW. After being squashed by the Gunn Club on this week’s episode of Dynamite, Griff Garrison and Brian Pillman, Jr. took to Twitter to let people know how they felt.

During the episode, Brian Pillman, Jr. didn’t even get a chance to tag in as he was knocked off of the ring apron, and Garrison were defeated in mere seconds. Shortly after the episode aired, they retweeted and liked a few tweets suggesting some anger with how they’re being utilized.

One retweet suggested that Chris Jericho take the duo under his wing to help them reach stardom. Another retweet on behalf of Pillman, Jr. expressed his frustration about carrying AEW through the pandemic.

“Great to see the roster that carried AEW through the Pandemic Era getting treated like this. Awesome. Love it. #VarsityBlonds @FlyinBrianJr and @griffgarrison1 deserve better.”

The Varsity Blondes seem to be skidding further and further down the card. Losing Julia Hart to the House of Black has also seemed to correlate with their downward spiral.

Only time will tell if Pillman, Jr. and Garrison establish themselves as a credible threat in AEW’s already crowded tag team division. An accidental superkick a few months ago could also lead us to believe that maybe there is a slow burn heel turn coming for one of the duo. Keep checking back with Ringside News for more!
