There has been speculation regarding current AEW contracts now that a new regime has taken over the WWE. AEW President Tony Khan had ensured fans that many of the wrestlers who signed in the past couple of years signed multi-year contracts. Of course, many wrestlers in the company have agreements most fans are unaware of. One of those agreements may’ve just been revealed.
Asher Hale was a part of WWE’s developmental roster, and he also appeared on 205 Live. Since his release in August, he stayed busy.
Fightful’s Sean Sapp reports behind a paywall that Anthony Henry, formerly known as Asher Hale, has signed an agreement with AEW. The report also noted that Cheeseburger, CB, is a free agent despite having been used since the ROH acquisition.
Fightful has confirmed that the former Asher Hale, Anthony Henry, has also signed an agreement with All Elite Wrestling. We haven’t confirmed when the signing took place, or if it’s a full-time deal or a tiered deal. Typically, AEW outright announces whenever a talent is announced to a full-time deal with a graphic, though there have been some exceptions.
We’ve also learned of talent used since the ROH acquisition that aren’t currently signed by All Elite wrestling. The former Cheeseburger, CB, has worked both of the Ring Of Honor dates since Tony Khan bought the company, but we’ve learned he’s a free agent.
Henry first made his AEW appearance in September 2021 and has been appearing regularly since February. He also appeared on ROH’s Death Before Dishonor.
