Ex WWE Superstar Set For Special Appearance On AEW Dynamite Tonight

AEW has a lot going on, and they are bringing back a fan favorite tonight. This fan favorite just so happens to be a former WWE Superstar.

Erick Redbeard used to be Erick Rowan. He is in the building for AEW Dynamite tonight, as Sean Sapp confirmed behind Fightful’s paywall.

Bodyslam.net’s Cassidy Haynes learned, and Fightful confirmed that the former Erick Rowan, Erick Redbeard is backstage at tonight’s AEW show. We haven’t heard if there are plans for him to appear on the show, or if he’s just visiting backstage. However, he’s not exactly hiding, so people are bound to see him around. 

Redbeard, 40, remains somewhat active on the independent wrestling scene after being released by WWE in 2020. In addition to appearing on AEW’s Brodie Lee tribute show, he wrestled alongside Death Triangle against The House of Black at AEW Revolution in 2022.

This will mark the 3rd time Redbeard has been on AEW programming. Only time will tell if Tony Khan offers him a contract, but he really likes signing guys to deals. This is ironic timing, because some fans speculated that Triple H might bring Rowan back into the WWE fold after he took control of creative.
