Cody Rhodes burst onto the scene in WWE and immediately became a top star. Unfortunately, Rhodes suffered torn pectoral that required surgery. WWE gave an estimated timeline of nine months before his return.

Rhodes didn’t want to hear any of that. He said that length of time was someone else’s plan, not his. The American Nightmare is anxious to get back to doing what he loves.

During a recent appearance on Busted Open Radio, Cody Rhodes was asked for an update on his injury status. He said that his doctors are not providing him with a timeline. The reason is that they believe he would ignore it.

“There’s a lot of people who have had knee injuries, back injuries, sometimes spinal and neck. When it comes to the titty… Your pec… It’s a really strange injury. They tie that sucker back to your bicep. I had Dr. Dugas, he’s the best in the world to do it. The problem with him doing it is, he knows me and they are being very coy.

I was told the last time I was there for my check up, after PT they are not going to give me a timeline just yet for when I’m going to be back because they are afraid that if they give me that timeline, I’m going to try and jump it by a month or two. The surgery was really… I almost hemorrhaged in the surgery because there was so much blood. People have seen the picture of it in the match. It was pretty gnarly.”

Officially, it is not known when Cody Rhodes will be able to make his return. Original estimates pointed at around the six-month mark, which means he could be back in time for the Royal Rumble. If Cody’s to be believed, his doctors aren’t going to tell him any time soon.
