Candice LeRae Says She’s ‘Too Old’ For WWE NXT Return

Candice LeRae was one of the highlights of the women’s division in Triple H’s version of NXT. LeRae took part in excellent matches and had great rivalries with the likes of former NXT Women’s Champion Io Shirai and others. LeRae also doubts she will return to WWE.

LeRae’s contract was set to expire in the middle of this year. That is what happened in the end as Candice LeRae officially became free agent back in May of this year.

While speaking during a Highspots Sign It Live, Candice LeRae answered fan questions. When LeRae was asked about possibly returning to NXT at some point in the future, LeRae joked that she is too old to go back.

“I’m too old for that anyway.”

People in power in AEW want Candice LeRae to sign with the company as well. It remains to be seen whether LeRae and Johnny Gargano will find their way to AEW somewhere down the line or not.
