Road Dogg was released from his WWE contract on January 5th. Many have speculated whether Road Dogg would reunite with his New Age Outlaws partner, Billy Gunn, in AEW. Although there is no word on whether he’ll go, Gunn is pulling for it.

During a “K&S WrestleFest” appearance, Gunn revealed whether his former partner would ever come over to AEW. While it may not be in a wrestling capacity, Gunn did say he’s been trying to get him in some role backstage.

We’re trying to get him here. He’s got other things going on, his podcast that I hear about every single day.

Gunn recently revealed that he’s under two AEW contracts at the moment. He’s been working in a backstage role and as on-screen talent for quite some time. In January 2020, he formed The Gunn Club stable with his two sons.
