The WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships have remained in limbo ever since the former champs Sasha Banks and Naomi walked out of WWE. The company announced a tournament to crown new champions, but nothing has come out from the announcement. Now, it appears fans may finally have an update on what’s going on with the titles.

Fightful’s Sean Sapp has reported behind his paywall that even talent backstage has no idea what will happen with the tag titles. Apparently, there haven’t been any discussions amongst those backstage.

Talent that we’ve spoken to said that they’ve received no word of when or if the tag team title tournament will actually happen. Even beyond that, they claim that they’ve heard no discussion regarding the tag team titles whatsoever since that announcement.

There hasn’t been any indication on television that WWE will even bring back the titles. The company has gone out of its way to remove Banks and Naomi from everything, including banning audience signs from last night’s taping of RAW. As for titles, it looks as if they will remain in limbo for the time being.
