Jordynne Grace recently had brief run as a tag team with W. Morrissey in Impact Wrestling. The duo incorporated incredible size and strength to give them an edge over their opponents as they competed in an eight-team elimination match for the Impact tag team titles. If Jordynne had her way, the team would have stayed together for much longer.

Unfortunately, that hope ended when W. Morrissey left the company. Jordynne Grace was guest on today’s Busted Open Radio. There, she talked about the big plans she had for the strange pairing.

Jordynne had already put together special ring attire for the team. She was extremely excited to continue their run. Grace was disappointed when Morrissey left.

“I literally was so excited about teaming with Morrissey. I actually… The idea for our finisher was my idea and I loved it, I thought it was going to be an amazing finisher for us. I truly think that we could have won the [IMPACT Wrestling World] tag titles, to be completely honest with you.

We had the finisher, I was going to get a jeans singlet made. I was going to start training in Timberlands so I could wear them in the ring. I was ready for this. I was so disappointed when he left.”

The short-lived team had Jordynne Grace’s creative juices flowing. After W. Morrissey departed from the promotion, it appears it wasn’t meant to be. The strange team is a very interesting historical footnote in a long legacy of wrestling’s greatest “What ifs.”
