AEW President Tony Khan might have lot of passion for pro wrestling, but he has now become someone fans ridicule. Khan is known to say some very peculiar things occasionally that leave many fans confused.
Tony Khan made it clear he doesn’t want to be an onscreen personality and has maintained that so far. However, that might change with MJF’s current storyline with Tony Khan.
Fans want a Stone Cold vs. Mr. McMahon type of angle between Khan and MJF as well. While speaking on the latest episode of Writing with Russo, Vince Russo blasted Tony Khan for coming across as a clown.
“Bro, Tony Khan listen, with all due respect, I don’t know the guy. I’m sure he is actually a sweetheart of a guy. He’s given a lot of guys jobs, forget all that. I’m talking about what I’ve seen of him on television, in scrums. Bro, the guy comes across like a clown. You can’t put a clown in a serious, serious angle like this. Like you just…it’s going to be silly and, bro, that really creates a problem.”
Tony Khan was also criticized for being bad booker. We will have to wait and see how MJF’s storyline will progress in the coming weeks.
