Roman Reigns is Head of the Table in WWE, but even the Undisputed Universal Champion needs a break. It appears that he is entering into a new phase of his WWE career where he is going to show up far less often.

It was previously reported that Roman Reigns is off the Money in the Bank pay-per-view. The door is not closed on SummerSlam, but this will be three months without a title defense for WWE’s top champion.

Sean Sapp reported behind Fightful’s paywall that WWE reps told the outlet that Reigns’ live event schedule has been scaled back, but he will remain on television and isn’t slated to miss any time. This doesn’t seem to be the case though, because Reigns’ schedule appears to be changing no matter what the outlet was told.

WWE reps told Fightful that his live event schedule would be scaled back, but that he’d remain on TV, and wasn’t slated to really miss any time. That doesn’t seem to hold true. We’ve followed up with additional reps for clarity.

It was noted that Roman Reigns is expected to wrestle at SummerSlam.

WWE feels as though Money in the Bank ladder matches are enough to sell that pay-per-view, so they don’t need Roman Reigns. The event is no longer in Las Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium and is in the MGM Grand as well. This location move is an interesting one as it seems to coincide with Roman Reigns suddenly not being on the card.

We will have to see what the future holds. Fans all over are still holding out for a dream match of Roman Reigns against The Rock at WrestleMania 39.

Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News opened the door for a new opportunity for Jenkins. With a history in finance, he broke into the journalism game by writing on blogs and other freelance websites before branching into sports and entertainment news. Being in tune with pop culture doesn't mean it has to make sense, but he tries. Favorite bands include any group from Seattle who formed between 1991 and 1999. 5 Ozzfests under his belt and 12 Warped Tours, but his last concert was a bluegrass AC/DC cover band that was not 100% terrible.
