WWE has seen a lot of executives leave the company over the last year. As Nick Khan consolidates power as president, some big names have gone on to other work. One of those was former Head of Global Sales & Partnerships, Claudine Lilien.

Lilien was brought into WWE from Fox. She was a direct report to Stephanie McMahon upon her hiring in 2021. Initially, it was reported that Claudine Lilien left the company on her own accord.

That does not appear to be the case. A report behind Fightful Select’s paywall claims that she was fired. Those within the company thought Vince McMahon’s selection was a poor one from the start.

“To expand on that, another situation that was clarified was Business Insider saying that WWE Head of Global Sales & Partnerships Claudine Lilien was “leaving WWE.” We were able to confirm that she was let go, and wasn’t looked upon as a great hire by McMahon. We were told there were plenty of areas of improvement in that department such as selling sponsors on a much more broad, long-term basis instead of a single show basis.”

The Business Insider story referred to also claimed Vince McMahon was the one who drove Stephanie McMahon from WWE. Stephanie recently announced that she was taking a leave of absence. That story is still unfolding as more information becomes available.

Interestingly, a direct report to Stephanie McMahon was forced out by the company. Reports did indicate that her entire team was being dismantled. It looks like Claudine Lilien was a part of that huge fallout.
