Pat McAfee Missed Hell In A Cell Because SmackDown Only Had One Match

Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins delivered one of the most electrifying matches in recent history. Rhodes suffered pectoral muscle tear ahead of the match, and still managed to deliver a complicated move set that included a pedigree to keep the match going.

Pat McAfee was absent from the building when Rhodes went toe-to-toe against Rollins. Cody showed a ton of heart and McAfee gave him huge props for it.

A man last night went into Hell in a Cell with a torn tit. Cody Rhodes went in there…a lot of people thought it was makeup, that’s what your body does when you tear your shit. Early, it looked like he was in a shit ton of pain. but he clicked into some of ‘I don’t give up fuck’ because unless they shot that thing up with everything you can shoot up with, which would hurt so bad, just the shooting up of it, a full Hell in a Cell match. They didn’t mail it in either. This shit was a full match. Seth Rollins lost to a guy with one fucking tit. I assume he’s getting surgery.

Pat also talked about why he was absent from the Chicago event. He said that there was only one match from SmackDown, so it was unnecessary for him to come to the event. Instead, Michael Cole and Corey Graves called the match between Happy Corbin and Madcap Moss.

I was not at Hell in a Cell, SmackDown only had one match and all parties agreed that it was probably not worth the trip to Chicago and back for that. It ended up being a 13-minute match.

McAfee further talked about how the internet was filled with reports on a WWE star suffering an injury as soon as Cody took off his jacket. He even thought it was a rumor ahead of the show, but it became evident as soon as the injury became apparent.
