AEW and NJPW are holding Forbidden Door on June 26th and there is a plethora of dream matches to go around. Everyone has their own wishes, even Mariah Carey.

Stokely Hathaway sent out a “deleted” tweet from Mariah Carey that said: “Stokely Hathaway vs Okada at Forbidden Door please. I am also innocent of copyright infringement.”

That “copyright infringement” mention was in reference to the $10 million lawsuit Mariah is currently facing for ripping off “All I Want For Christmas For You.” This tweet was seen by Tony Khan, the billionaire owner of AEW who lives on Twitter. TK really loved this tweet and it appears Stokely’s tweet is now AEW canon.

It really just sunk in for me for the first time that @Malcolmvelli’s infamous counterfeit tweets will focus on @AEW from now on. They’ve gone from something I begrudgingly saw as amazing content from a brilliant manager working for the enemy into 2022 AEW canon. This made my day

We’ll have to see what’s next for Stokely Hathaway in AEW. He is certainly getting the boss’ attention in a good way. Odds are he won’t get that Okada match, but at least he is still one of the best talkers in the game.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
