Booker T Says Fans Are Blowing Stephanie McMahon’s WWE Leave Of Absence Out Of Proportion

Stephanie McMahon took a leave of absence and it seems like her hiatus will be a lengthy one. WWE has already started filling her shoes, but Booker T doesn’t think it’s that big of a deal.

During his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T opened up a little bit about Stephanie McMahon’s leave of absence. He said that people might be looking for something controversial that just isn’t there.

“It just seems like people want to find something controversial to be able to talk about … Her taking time off means nothing other than she’s taking time off. Shane McMahon has taken time off several times, he’s always come back. He’s taken more time off.”

Stephanie McMahon has worked for her father’s company on a daily basis for years. Even someone like the Billion Dollar Princess deserves a break in Booker’s book.

“I don’t look at it like most because everybody’s looking for a story. And me, like you said, Stephanie has been in the trenches for a long time. To take a break, I think is a break well needed.”

Stephanie McMahon’s hiatus started just as Triple H returned to the offices full-time. We’ll have to see how long it takes for her to return, because it’s hard to imagine that she will never return to Vince McMahon’s company.
