Former WWE Superstar Alberto Del Rio remains a highly controversial figure in the pro wrestling world. He was facing several charges of sexual assault but they were all dropped. He also congratulated CM Punk for his massive win at AEW Double Or Nothing.
In spite of his problematic actions, Del Rio definitely had a solid career in WWE during his two runs with the company. He is a four-time world champion and two time WWE United States Champion and also a Royal Rumble winner.
As fans know by now, CM Punk won the AEW World Championship at AEW Double Or Nothing. In light of this huge achievement, Alberto Del Rio took to Twitter and congratulated him on his win.

Alberto cashed in his Money in the Bank contract to win the WWE Championship from Punk at SummerSlam 2011. Punk eventually beat him for the title as well. Despite all the controversy, Del Rio certainly has a lot of respect for Punk and that is what matters.
