AEW Double Or Nothing has ended and the company is already moving towards their next big event. The event in question is the historic Forbidden Door PPV next month. The company also has plans to return to the Arthur Ashe Stadium.

AEW held their first stadium show last September with the Grand Slam special edition of Dynamite in New York City at the USTA Arthur Ashe Stadium.

AEW President Tony Khan made it clear that the AEW Grand Slam event will be returning but no date was set. While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer revealed that AEW will return to the Arthur Ashe Stadium in mid-September.

“Grand Slam, which he [Khan] has talked about, they’re going to do it. He wants Grand Slam to be an annual tradition as the biggest TV of the year. He did not say this, but we in fact know, it will be mid-September on a Wednesday night in Arthur Ashe stadium, they’ve got it booked.”

We will have to wait and see whether the second Grand Slam event will be as successful as the first event. Fans are certainly excited for the upcoming event nonetheless.
