AEW Double or Nothing is just days away. As the huge pay-per-view in Las Vegas draws closer, there are still several key stars without matches set for the PPV. One huge matchup could be added on this week’s episode of Rampage.

Many fans have noticed that Darby Allin doesn’t have a match scheduled for Double or Nothing. Allin is one of AEW’s most popular babyfaces. It would make sense for him to be on the show, despite Sting being unable to make it due to an injury.

Fightful Select has reported that AEW has discussed a match for Darby Allin. The opponent would be Kyle O’Reilly. The story is ready-made, as Kyle ‘Pillmanized’ Sting’s leg with a steel chair on last week’s Dynamite.

“It was announced this week that Sting will not be traveling to Double or Nothing weekend after sustaining an injury, but his tag team partner Darby Allin will. Sources Fightful has spoken to also indicated that a match was discussed for the Double or Nothing that would see Allin take on Kyle O’Reilly. O’Reilly was responsible for “Pillmanizing” Sting’s leg inside a chair on last week’s episode of AEW Dynamite.

The last we’d heard, this match was expected to be announced on AEW Rampage. The match. Darby Allin noted on Twitter that he “had a plan” going into Sunday. AEW haven’t officially announced the match as of yet, so this whole situation could very well change or end up on another show.”

We will know on Friday if this is ultimately the plan AEW runs with. Darby Allin is considered one of the pillars of the company. It only makes sense for him to have a match at Double or Nothing.
